Two children were killed in Killi Pasta Sherani area due to measles here on Wednesday 24 Feburary 2010, According to details two children were suffering from measles and they were killed after protracted conflict, both of the dead bodies were buried in ancestral grave yard of Sherani district, Meanwhile four children were killed in Killi Ali Khanzai an area of district Zhob, the slain were three girls and one boy, the fathers of the dead children were identified as Haji Sarwar, Dawood Khan , Gul Din, Abdul Wadood.
In another case fourteen children have been reported killed in Harifalabad, the names of the parents were identified as Sardar, Baran Khan, Saadullah, Shia Khan, Mulla Khano, Zahir Khan, Shahwazir, Faizuddin, Fazal Karam, Dehbak, Juma Din Sardar Khan, Hawal Khan, Ilahidin. Fifteen children are yet reportedly infected by measles sources said.
Meanwhile the head of Shiekhan Tribe Sheikh Ashraf Khan Mandokhel demanded the federal government to launch enquiry on this serious matter” he flayed that Balochistan was already ignored in every aspect especially the Pakhtoons who themselves are patriot. He said that all the services including district administration has ignored us totally, despite we have given it in print and electronic media though, the VIP’s who are sitting in provincial assembly have turned the deaf ear on this matter, Ashraf Khan said that the district administration thinks all the people of this soil are illiterate and they don’t have courage to rise their voice but Al-Hamdullillah the people of this state are now going ahead. He said we contacted on this matter with D.C.O Zhob Mansoor Kakar but he contradicted the death toll claimed by citizen,
Ashraf Khan said that D.C.O has managed the imperial administration in Zhob that he wants people to bow before listening their legal rights that we would not accept on any cost.
He warned provincial government and said that the masses strongly demanded an action on this issue but all in vain. Consequently Ashraf Khan appealed Islamabad to help us get rid of measles, “We appeal General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to save the children of this soil” and bring public administration.
In another case, the reports have been received to this journalist that the people who are willing to test their blood in civil hospital for Hepatitis, the hospital workers tell people that there is no arrangements of Hepatitis test as the there is no kit available in the laboratory, during the investigation it was learnt that 10,040000/- was granted by the provincial government with the recommendation of District Government to this hospital but all the funds have spent without any proper audit.
About the ambulances “There are three ambulances in civil hospital, two are out of order since long time and one is active, and X-Rays machine is also out of order the people are directed to make X-Rays report out side the hospital where private clinic exists, and the owners of the private clinic are these doctors who are frequently absent during office hours and can easily be found there” Maula dad told this journalist.
In another investigation in district Sherani it was learnt that there was a government medical camp near Sangar Security check post of FC, but unfortunately the medicines of that camp is being sold in a private clinic installed near that camp, during investigation this journalist went to the area where villagers themselves told that this camp is under EDO health Sherani, but all the medicines of this camp are being sold in private camp.
The PPHI, NGO who works in Sherani district said that we are arranging camps there for the people, but no camps were arranged in this area, they installed camps in the premises of Zhob district villages called killi mandezai and they were out of the villagers reach of Sherani district.
In another survey I found that an area called Tehsil Nag 130 Km away from Panjgur and situated on N-85 project of National Highway Authority (NHA) Balochistan, the people face massive problems due to dusty rugged landscape, I meet a person named Mustafa who was living near Rest house, he was Baloch, and he was bitten by “Send fly” but unfortunately there was no medicine in the district camp, this person had already told Mir Qudratullah Mir the tribal feud of Tehsil Nag but all in vain. He said I needed help and for this purpose I will have to move Quetta because nothing is available in this medical camp and feuds have twice times received millions of funds but you see there is nothing.
At the end I would urge that there are a lot of districts and Tehsil that I have traveled in Balochistan, nevertheless including P.I.M.S hospital of federal capital in Islamabad, I would shy to report that what the situation was under executive Mehmood Jamal head of Pakistan medical sciences (P.I.M.S) that I cannot forget and the corruption which was under his control, I would ask the law enforcement agencies and secret services and intelligence and NAB that we will not die from Black Water or foreign agents but we will die from such diseases and it’s also your responsibility to report these matters and resolve it on priority basis for the sake of nation’s service. The people need these issues to be solved then they would calm down and no more demand any provincial autonomy or independence of Balochistan if you provided all the stuff. Then common people would be the first to take interest and will not follow the politicians that have always played for their own interest but not for the common people of this Balochistan, Pakistan.
